About the Role: We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable General Operative to join our Service & Repairs team based in Naas. This role supports daily operations across the Leinster region, with a primary focus on assisting on-site Mechanical Fitters and Electricians. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in the construction, industrial, or water & wastewater sectors is desirable but not essential. No two days are the same, this is a dynamic role that adapts to the operational needs of the team. Key Responsibilities: Provide on-site support to Mechanical Fitters and Electricians. Assist with confined space operations (Top Man role; training provided). Support traffic management activities (signing, lighting, guarding; training provided). Load and unload vans, lorries, trailers, and containers. Prepare and dispatch stock to sites and customers. Assist with warehouse duties and stock management. Participate in end-of-year stock takes and audit preparations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in stores and surrounding areas. Operate HIAB truck and forklift (training provided). Conduct health and safety checks on plant and machinery. Participate in supplier product training and internal development sessions. Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures. Carry out other ad-hoc duties as required. Key Competencies and Skills: Experience in the water or construction industry is an advantage. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Effective time management and organisational skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
