Fexco Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) are currently recruiting for a Financial Project Accountant to join their team. This role is a full-time, 12 month fixed-term contract for the purpose of maternity leave cover. This role will be based in our offices in Killorglin, Co. Kerry with flexibility to work a hybrid model.
Job Purpose:
The role will support business growth in Fexco’s P&FX business unit. You will gain first-hand experience in the payments industry supporting the financial aspects of new business opportunities, business change and improvement, currency analysis and system development. You will support internal Finance initiatives aimed at maximising revenue and enhancing the capability of the financial teams to support growth. You will be responsible as part of a multi-disciplinary team to interpret and capture client needs and be confident in promoting the benefits of Fexco Payments and FX products and services. You will represent all financial aspects of the divisions’ products and services to both external and internal customers ensuring financial requirements are understood by all parties.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Working as part of a Financial Projects team, collaborate with internal & external stakeholders in delivering new projects.
2. Develop a rounded view of Payments & FX products and in particular their financial aspects.
3. Work closely with internal functions, including business development teams, to articulate and support their understanding of the financial aspects of Payment & FX products and services.
4. Analyse & report on FX risk associated with relevant projects.
5. Review tax, compliance and legal aspects of implementing new business across new regions and products, liaising with internal subject matter experts as required.
6. Supporting the Finance Operations team in operating new business in a BAU environment.
Competencies:
1. Project management/delivery experience preferable.
2. Qualified Accountant, or working towards same.
3. Team worker that is pro-active, delivery focused with a hands-on, can-do attitude.
4. Analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to demonstrate creative/independent thinking to resolve problems and complete projects.
5. Understanding of FX risk management and payment processing an advantage.
6. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and ability to work with both internal and external audiences.
7. Attention to detail, proficient in Microsoft Excel.
