General Practice Nurse
Location: Windmill Court Medical, Lowser Gerald Griffin Street, Irishtown, Limerick V94CX6H, Ireland
Contract: Permanent Part‑Time
Working Hours: Monday, Thursday & Friday – 2 pm to 5 pm / Wednesday – 9 am to 5 pm
Salary Range: €26 – €28 per hour, depending on experience
We are looking for an approachable, committed and professional Registered General Nurse who can provide courteous, sincere and sensitive patient service while committing to quality and excellent patient care in our GP practice.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical nursing, health promotion and screening in GP practice.
Phlebotomy and administering vaccinations (infant, childhood, flu, travel).
Chronic disease management – cholesterol, blood pressure, respiratory disease and diabetes.
Female health – cervical screening and family planning.
Sexual health – opportunistic STI screening, advice, venous leg ulcer and skin injury treatment.
General nursing duties – health promotion and education, telephone triage and advice, ear irrigation.
Maintain accurate records and communication with GP and allied health professionals.
Position Requirements
Registered General Nurse with the NMBI.
Experience in phlebotomy.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and telephone skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Flexible attitude to changing work practices.
Must be living in Ireland with an Irish address at the time of application.
