Compliance and Customer Service Advisor
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance and Customer Service Advisor to oversee and maintain the highest standards of compliance across our business and branch. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in office administration, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding best practices in internal compliance. This role will also include a customer service aspect and will involve overseeing and operating our teller/cash counter as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure branch compliance across all aspects of the business in line with company procedures and business controls
* Complete all the relevant checks and paperwork associated with branch procedures and controls
* Support team members to maintain high compliance standards
* Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders on compliance matters
* Collaborate with customers and colleagues to resolve compliance-related queries promptly and professionally
* Keep up to date with procedures and ensure adherence to same in branch
* Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support business objectives
* Oversee the teller/cash counter to ensure all activity is in line with procedures
* Cover the teller role as required – lunch and annual leave
* Manage customer queries effectively and professionally as and when required in-person, by phone and email
* Any other tasks as advised by branch manager or tied agent. This role requires a large degree of flexibility and ability to support across the business as and when required
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in office administration, preferably with some exposure to compliance or regulatory work.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with team members and customers.
* A proactive, flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
* A team player who holds themselves and others to high standards.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desirable:
* Prior experience in a compliance-specific role.
* Relevant qualifications or training in compliance, administration, or a related field, and/or financial services qualifications (APA/QFA)
* It is expected that the person who performs this role will seek to gain QFA qualifications if they do not already have them
