The Position
This is an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a mature, well-supported technical environment with modern cloud infrastructure and clear strategic direction.
The role would suit someone who has evolved from a senior development background and is comfortable combining technical oversight with team leadership. You will play a key role in ensuring that engineering delivery aligns with business objectives while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Core Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction across software development, QA, and cloud infrastructure teams
Take accountability for delivery across multiple initiatives, ensuring consistent quality and on-time execution
Influence architectural direction and embed best practices across development, testing, and design standards
Collaborate with product and executive stakeholders on roadmap planning and prioritisation
Strengthen Agile processes and promote continuous improvement across teams
Oversee Azure-hosted environments with responsibility for reliability, security, scalability, and cost management
Act as a senior technical stakeholder, bridging business strategy and engineering implementation
Candidate Profile
Experience working with Entity Framework and SQL Server (or comparable relational databases)
Prior experience operating as a Technical Lead or Engineering Manager
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow technical teams, including performance management and hiring
Experience delivering within Agile / Scrum frameworks
Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern release practices
Solid understanding of Azure cloud services and infrastructure operations
Exposure to financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries would be advantageous
