Embark on a transformative journey as a Research Assistant in our Environmental Conservation Project located in the lush rainforests of Costa Rica. This exceptional opportunity allows you to contribute to groundbreaking research while immersing yourself in a unique cultural experience.
About the Project
This project focuses on biodiversity conservation, reforestation, and sustainable living practices. Our team works tirelessly to map the lowland rainforest area, which is crucial for its protection. By participating in this initiative, you will have the chance to develop your research skills and share your findings with the scientific community, ultimately contributing to the reinforcement of knowledge and environmental conservation.
The project is situated between an Indigenous reserve and Barbilla National Park, providing a diverse range of flora and fauna to explore. Some areas have been heavily logged, but much remains pristine and in need of study and protection. Our primary goals are to enhance biodiversity, facilitate reforestation efforts, and promote sustainable living practices.
Daily Routine
A typical day begins at 7:00 am with breakfast. At 8:00 am, we venture into the jungle to collect data and conduct research. Lunch is served at 12:30 pm, followed by data processing, analysis, writing, or garden work. Dinner is at 5:00 pm. After dinner, you can unwind in the community house. Quiet hours commence at 9:00 pm. Weekends offer time to relax, visit waterfalls, or the beach.
