Due to strategic growth Appian Asset
Management (AAM) have retained Elevate Partners on an exclusive basis to hire
an ambitious Risk and Compliance Officer. The role
will report directly to the Head of Compliance (PCF 15 ) and the successful
candidate will be a key part of the Risk and Compliance function in ensuring
all its duties and responsibilities are carried out to a high standard.
Role
responsibilities and duties will include but not limited to:
* To provide support to the Head of Compliance and
the Risk Manager with the completion of the annual program of activities for
both the Compliance and Risk functions.
* Deliver the day to day AML monitoring program
* Completion of the Compliance and Risk Monitoring
Programs
* Secretary and administrator to the Risk and
Compliance Committee
* Support the Head of Compliance with regards to
Data Protection Activities
* Horizon Scanning: Support the Head of Compliance
with regards to identification of new regulation / legislation. Management of
the Register of Regulatory Obligations (RORO), and co -ordinate the annual
review of the RORO within the business units.
* Maintenance of the AAM Policy Register.
Co -ordinate the annual policy review within functions
* Involvement in key firm projects and represent
the Risk and Compliance function on project workstreams where required.
Requirements
o Minimum 2 – 5 years' experience in a similar role
within Financial Services
o A background in Asset / Wealth Management
products and regulation preferred
o QFA or ACOI or equivalent qualification held or
in the progress of achieving
o Excellent communication skills and experience
developing strong internal and external relationships
o Ability to think independently and work on their
own initiative
o A willingness to embrace challenge and work
within an evolving / changing environment
o Task oriented and organised to manage a number of
competing priorities simultaneously
