Financial Management Specialist
Job Overview
This position involves managing the financial operations of a company, overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts for each division of the business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in the financial management of the company.
Main Responsibilities
* Prepare and submit monthly management accounts using Quick Books and OBDC import.
* Oversee year-end audit paper preparation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Manage sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers, including reconciliation and month-end processing.
* Process bank reconciliations and payroll (weekly/monthly) while maintaining regulatory pension provisions.
* Set up BACS/FPS payments for MD approval and manage supplier relationships.
* Prepare and submit NI & ROI VAT returns, EC Sales List, and Intrastat submissions.
* File Customs Supplementary Declarations and ensure compliance with Fair Employment and ONS returns.
* Manage IT systems and oversee internal and supplier systems.
* Support KPI reporting, business improvements, and the preparation of reports for suppliers.
Key Skills and Qualifications
A strong background in accounting with experience in a similar role is essential. The successful candidate will also have knowledge of VAT, payroll processing, and statutory returns.
