Project Accountant
to join our growing Finance Team.
This role blends remote working with regular time spent at our
National Office in Dun Laoghaire
, offering a balance and supportive working experience.
About The Role
As the Project Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation through major accounting system migration and deeply involved in audit-focused activities.
Although a temporary position, it sits at the heart of a fast-paced, high-impact project designed to deliver on time and within scope.
The role will combine strong analytical capability with practical problem-solving, ensuring financial processes, controls, and reporting remain robust.
This is a
Fixed-Term, Full-Time, 35 hour
per week contract.

The salary will be dependent on experience and based on the below range:
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the completion of year-end audit activities and manage auditor interactions
Prepare and execute the migration plan for entities transitioning to the new accounting system
Finalize trail balances, upload supporting documentation, and coordinate audit responses
Act as the key liaison between auditors, the finance team, and wider stakeholders
Assess current financial processes, identify improvement opportunities, and evaluate system options
Support system configuration, cost analysis, and implantation planning to ensure a smooth transition

You will have an analytical mind, that allows you to interpret complex financial data, while your practical judgement ensures recommendations are grounded.
You will be a natural problem-solver, who stays calm under pressure, and communicates clearly.
Must Haves
Fully Qualified Accountant
Audit planning and finalisation experience
Previous experience executing business process improvements
Meticulous attention to detail
Good orientation skills
Excellent people/interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
Excellent time management skills with focus on deliverables
Great to Have
Previous experience of working in the not-for-profit sector
