OverviewHRIS Specialist - Contract - Hybrid - SligoOur client is seeking an experienced and proactive HRIS Specialist to lead the end-to-end implementation of a new Human Resource Information System (HRIS). This role is pivotal in shaping the digital future of HR within this company. The successful candidate will be a hands-on project leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering HRIS solutions from concept to go-live.ResponsibilitiesOwn and drive the full lifecycle of the HRIS project, from initial requirements gathering and system selection to configuration, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.Serve as project lead, managing timelines, milestones, resources, risks, and dependencies, ensuring delivery is on time and within scope.Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (HR, IT, Finance, Operations) and external vendors to define, map, and optimise HR processes aligned to best practice and system capability.Lead data migration and cleansing efforts, ensuring data integrity and GDPR compliance.Develop and execute change management and communication plans to support adoption across the organisation.Created and delivered tailored training programmes and user guides for HR, managers, and employees.Configure the system in alignment with HR policies, reporting needs, security roles, and workflow requirements.Act as the primary liaison with the HRIS vendor, managing configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancement requests.Provide hands-on post-implementation support, including issue resolution, continuous improvement, and user feedback gathering.Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments to embed system usage and HR digital transformation.RequirementsProven track record of leading a full HRIS implementation project, preferably in a standalone or lead role.Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.Experience mapping and redesigning HR processes to align with new system capabilities.Excellent data handling, migration, and integrity assurance experience.Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.High proficiency in Excel and other data tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly guidance and training.DESIRABLEExperience working in a multi-site or manufacturing environment.Familiarity with Irish employment legislation and HR operations.Experience with HR reporting and analytics tools.
