We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Supervisor to lead our site teams in East Cork. This hands-on supervisory role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong civil engineering experience who can ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
About the Role:
* Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site operations and site personnel.
* Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.
* Manage subcontractors and direct labour on site.
* Enforce high standards of health & safety, ensuring all works comply with regulatory requirements.
* Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Monitor productivity and quality of workmanship.
* Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports and progress updates.
* Ensure materials, plant, and equipment are used efficiently and responsibly.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety: Enforce high standards of health & safety, ensuring all works comply with company and regulatory requirements.
2. Site Management: Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site operations and site personnel.
3. Project Delivery: Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers, and Project Managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
4. Quality Control: Monitor productivity and quality of workmanship.
5. Resource Management: Manage subcontractors and direct labour on site, ensure materials, plant, and equipment are used efficiently and responsibly.
Requirements:
* Proven experience working as a Civil Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
* Strong background in civil engineering works (e.g. drainage, groundworks, utilities, roadworks, concrete works).
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Strong understanding of health & safety regulations.
* Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates (additional tickets an advantage).
* Full, clean driving licence.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Experience working on Irish civil engineering projects.
* First Aid, CSCS, or other relevant certifications.
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on site.
