About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Specialist to oversee the global operational risk framework across all regions and business lines within Innocap Group.
This role ensures robust governance, incident management, risk identification, and mitigation strategies that align with regulatory requirements and best practices, whilst supporting organisational growth and resilience.
This is a global role that sits within Innocap's Global Enterprise Risk Management team.
As part of this role, you will also be required to act as Designated Person with responsibility for Operational Risk Management (PCF 39-B) for Innocap's Irish subsidiary – Innocap Global Investment Management (Ireland) Ltd.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the Designated Person with responsibility for Operational Risk Management (PCF-39 B), subject to Central Bank of Ireland approval;
Lead and own the global operational risk management process, including designing, implementing and continuously enhancing the global operational risk framework;
Ensure the operational risk management framework and associated policies and procedures are in place and maintained to comply with the Central Bank of Ireland's requirements as they pertain to Innocap's Irish subsidiary;
Collaborate closely with Innocap Group entities and leverage global resources and expertise such as Operations, Compliance, and other shared functions—to strengthen operational risk management and deliver strategic initiatives;
Oversee daily operational risk management oversight and escalated issues as required;
Lead global risk assessments, scenario analysis and stress testing;
Ensure consistency of risk policies and procedures across jurisdictions;
Prepare and present operational risk reports to global risk committees and Boards;
Investigate operational risk incidents across the Innocap Group, ensure resolution with business owners, and escalated exceptions to Boards and Committees;
Lead the delivery of regulatory projects from an operational risk perspective as they arise, for example, the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA);
Ensure that appropriate global operational resilience (including digital) arrangements and plans are in place, including mapping business processes, testing of business continuity plans and performing operational resilience self‑assessments;
Implement and maintain the outsourcing framework, ensuring oversight of all delegates and third‑party service providers, through due diligence reviews, outsourcing register maintenance and escalated exceptions to Boards and Committees as necessary;
Support the global Enterprise Risk Management Function and the Irish entity's Risk Management Function, including working collaboratively with all relevant risk stakeholders to ensure robust operational risk oversight;
Attend to regulatory filings as they pertain to the Operational Risk Function e.g., outsourcing register and DORA register of information;
Adopt a continuous professional development mindset to guide and educate colleagues on matters of operational risk;
Assist in ad‑hoc projects and matters necessitated by business changes and current market events.
Primary Qualifications
5+ years' experience in banking, asset management or funds environment and several years demonstrable risk management experience interacting and reporting to senior management;
Diploma in Finance, Investment, Law, Risk and/or other related field;
CFA, CAIA, FRM an attribute.
Experience & Knowledge
Previously held a PCF role or directly supported a PCF holder;
Significant operational risk experience in a fund management environment or similar industry;
Strong knowledge of Irish‑regulated fund products;
A proven record of working effectively with multiple stakeholders;
Strong working knowledge of applicable regulations to a fund management company e.g., CP86, AIFMD, DORA, CP138, CP140.
Skills
Excellent command of spoken and written English;
Detailed knowledge of risk management concepts, including risk appetite, risk and control ratings and risk mapping;
Sound decision making based on evidence and information available, supported by strong analytical skills;
Ability to deliver high‑quality results to deadlines including accurate, clear and concise report writing;
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across a global organisation and externally;
Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver results but drive progress independently where required.
