Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role plays a pivotal part within the Irish Distillers Finance Team. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the coordination and consolidation of management reporting inputs from all business partners, ensuring timely and accurate submission to Head Office with particular emphasis on Rolling Forecasts, Risks and Ops (R&Os) as well as a number of monthly reporting activities. The role also involves the management of decision support systems and financial modelling.
About the role
* Profit & Loss Financial Management & Statutory Reporting packages to Head Office
* Responsibility for collating all inputs for Profit & Loss Financials to meet required deadlines for Month end reporting
* Maintain robust controls to ensure the accuracy of reported financial and non‑financial information
* Ensure review of reporting outputs with Finance Manager
* Ownership of the database used to collate financial data
* Support the implementation of process changes and the systems improvements
* Assistance in the development of standardised reports relating to business performance as well as validation of profitability information in same.
* Maintenance of master data across systems
* Regulatory reporting to C.S.O etc.
* Fulfil other management reporting requests from HQ or local management
* Ad‑hoc analysis, modelling and projects as required
What are we looking for:
Required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
* Comfortable working with large volumes of financial data and complex reporting requirements
* Proficient in MS Excel; experience with Power BI is advantageous
* Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet tight deadlines
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across teams
* Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on innovative and efficient reporting solutions
* Aptitude for IT system optimisation and data‑driven decision‑making
* Flexibility to work remotely, with occasional on‑site collaboration as required
Preferred:
* Experience in database management, ideally Hyperion Essbase
* Functional database administration experience
* Strong understanding of business needs and alignment with organisational priorities
