Hours: 20 hours per weekRole Overview:The Preschool Manager will oversee the daily running and overall management of our ECCE sessional preschool, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and compliance in line with Tusla Early Years Regulations, Aistear, and Síolta frameworks. The successful candidate will lead, support, and develop a small team of early years educators while fostering a positive, inclusive, and child-centered environment for all children and families.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & ManagementManage the day-to-day operations of the preschool in accordance with Tusla, DCEDIY, and DES requirements.Lead, support, and supervise staff, ensuring a positive and professional team culture.Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practice.Plan and oversee staff rosters, training, and CPD participation.Ensure the service operates safely, efficiently, and effectively within budget.Curriculum & PedagogyOversee the implementation of the Aistear and Siolta frameworks across the setting.Support staff in planning and delivering high-quality, play-based learning experiences.Maintain appropriate observation, assessment, and documentation systems.Promote inclusion and equality of opportunity for all children.Compliance & AdministrationMaintain up-to-date records, policies, and compliance documentation (Tusla, Pobal, DCEDIY).Complete funding returns and administrative duties linked to ECCE, NCS, and Core funding.Liaise with external agencies (Tusla, Pobal, Roscommon CCC, etc.) as required.Ensure all health, safety, and child protection standards are met at all times.Family & Community EngagementBuild strong, respectful relationships with parents and carers through clear communication.Promote the preschool's role within the local community.Manage enrolments, transitions, and parent communication effectively.Essential Requirements:Minimum QQI Level 7 Major Award in Early Childhood Care and Education.Minimum 3 years' experience working in an early years setting.Demonstrated experience in leadership, supervision, or management within an early years environment.Strong understanding of Aistear, Siolta, and Tusla regulations.Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to manage staff, children, and families with professionalism and empathy.Up-to-date First Aid Responder Level 5, Child Protection, (or willingness to complete).Desirable Requirements:Degree (QQI Level 7 or 8) in Early Childhood Education or related field.Experience managing a community-based ECCE or similar sessional preschool.Familiarity with Pobal funding systems and Core Funding administration.Job Type: Part-timePay: €18.00-€25.00 per hourExpected hours: 20 per weekWork Location: In person
