Job Description:
The purpose of this job is to serve as a laboratory support analyst within the client environment to support their technical and analytical tasks, to work to the highest standards in terms of quality and professionalism.
Job Responsibilities include:
* Support Laboratory bioreactor runs – data monitoring, sampling, sample analysis and bioreactor feeding
* Support of key activities in the laboratory such as processing of autoclave and washer loads.
* Support media preparation activities.
* Restocking of laboratory consumables and support of 5S in the lab.
* Perform data review
* Keep up to date with existing and new SOPs and official documentation.
* Contribute to proper use, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
* Perform investigations, where required, for Out-of-Specification Results etc.
* Perform sample management activities. Coordinate receipt and distribution of samples.
* Perform other duties as designated by Laboratory Management.
* Develop subject matter expertise on processes you perform.
* Support revision of SOPs or other official documentation and reports, when required.
* Execute independently assigned projects.
Qualifications:
* Currently completing Science degree.
* Industrial experience in aseptic techniques is essential, with cell culture a distinct advantage.
* Additional experience or exposure to, biotech industrial environment is a distinct advantage.
* Practical analytical laboratory experience in a GMP or GLP environment is preferred.
* High attention to detail and high level of discipline in techniques is required.
* Analytical skills to troubleshoot laboratory issues are an asset.
* Ability to work well within team structures and provide leadership is required.
* Good communication is a key skill requirement.
Willingness to work weekends is required. This role involves regular weekend hours as standard.
