My client is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 IT Support Engineer on a contract basis to assist with escalated technical support and ongoing project work during a busy period. The engineer must be available for an immediate or near-immediate start, ideally with prior MSP experience and confidence working in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, independence, and professionalism in dealing with end users and business clients.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide remote and on-site support to SME clients in line with SLAsTroubleshoot and resolve Level 2/3 technical issuesWork with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and common networking issuesAssist with project tasks, migrations, upgrades, and deploymentsAccurately log work in Autotask PSA and communicate updates clearlySupport or advise junior team members if neededEssential SkillsMinimum 2-3 years' experience in a Level 2 or Level 3 IT support roleStrong Microsoft 365 and Windows Server experienceConfident with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPNsFamiliarity with firewalls and networking (Sophos, SonicWall, etc.)Experience with Autotask, Kaseya, Datto, or similar RMM/PSA toolsExcellent troubleshooting, time management, and communication skillsMust be based in Ireland or able to work Irish business hoursNice to HavePrevious experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environmentProject experience (e.g., O365 migrations, server upgrades)Azure or Microsoft certificationFull driving licence and own transport (for on-site support)Additional NotesRole is office based in Carlow officeIdeal for someone who is between contracts or prefers short-term engagementsMay lead to extended work or future project collaboration
