IT Field Engineers (Dublin)

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals, ideally early in their careers or pursuing apprenticeships, to join our team. Successful candidates will spend their first year gaining hands-on experience by shadowing a seasoned expert, developing practical skills and industry knowledge.
Applicants must be over 21 years of age and hold a full, clean driving licence. PC literacy and good knowledge and application of relevant tools and methods are required. Product knowledge of relevant industry and basic ITIL skills are preferred.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move heavy loads, stand most of the day, climb, bend, and stoop while working on equipment. Exposure to outside elements is expected. Shift adaptability is necessary, including participation in an on-call rotation for evenings and weekends. Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
Additional responsibilities include organizing and inventorying truck stock parts and tools, demonstrating a sense of urgency, organizational skills, professional presence, and the ability to work in a team environment. First-line or Service Technician work experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
1. Incident Handling: Troubleshoot hardware and software failures using diagnostic tools, repair hardware at the component level, clean and adjust mechanical parts, and install/configure software.
2. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine checks as per documented procedures and refill consumables.
3. IMAC/R: Perform hardware and software installation, movement, addition, change, and removal tasks.
4. Customer Training: Instruct and train customers on the usage of hardware and software.
5. Process Tasks: Receive incident and order briefings, update dispatch, and inform customers of actions taken.
6. Continuous Improvement: Identify and report technical or process issues and suggest improvements. Use corporate tools for knowledge sharing.
7. Training: Participate in hardware and software training sessions and obtain certifications.
