Offer Description
A Post-Doctoral Researcher position is available at Cork University Business School (CUBS) to join a COALESCE project focused on global AI governance, trust, and ethics for sustainable digital health.
This project, funded by Research Ireland, aims to develop, deploy, and evaluate a comprehensive AI governance framework for healthcare organisations during a pivotal period of global digital transformation.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI) and co-PI, collaborating closely with project team members and international partners across academia, healthcare organisations, government, and regulatory bodies.
The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, prepare high-quality publications and policy briefs, and contribute to project reporting and dissemination activities.
Additional experience and knowledge in any of the following areas would be highly valued:
Qualitative and/or mixed-methods research (e.g., interviews, case studies, Delphi studies, thematic analysis), with proficiency in NVivo or similar qualitative data analysis software.
Demonstrated skills in simulation modelling and in designing and developing interactive dashboards to support scenario analysis and decision-making.
Knowledge of AI governance frameworks and healthcare regulations, including emerging international standards and EU regulatory instruments.
Qualifications or research experience in healthcare, digital health, or health systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration across academia, industry, and public sector organisations.
Achievement of the expected progression within Post Doc and Senior Post Doc is transferable between the Irish HEI's.
This can be reflected in the starting pay of a PD researcher.
Similarly, as the PD scheme is an intergenerational training scheme completion of PD1 or PD 2 levels in one HEI will normally render that researcher ineligible for appointment at a similar level in another Irish HEI Researcher Career Development Framework | Irish Universities Association
Please note that Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance check may form part of the selection process.
