With a strong reputation built over four decades and as a purpose-driven organisation, we operate with a clear philosophy:we do not provide any service that isn't good enough for our own families.Our work is grounded in respect, integrity, commitment, and genuine partnerships with the individuals and communities we support.*Role Summary***We are looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who has received provisional registration as a BSP, or who has worked with a portfolio of clients in this capacity, to join our dynamic, interdisciplinary allied health team. You will partner with people with disability and their families/stakeholders to enable them to live the life they choose by providing high quality and culturally appropriate behaviour support services.*Responsibilities And Duties*Undertaking comprehensive functional behaviour assessmentsDeveloping and implementing individualised, person-centered positive behaviour support plansProviding services to clients that teach and encourage appropriate behavioursUpskilling others in the person's life to encourage and support positive behavioursReducing challenging behaviours and working towards the reduction or elimination of restrictive practicesWorking cooperatively with families and the broader allied health team to ensure best practice service deliveryThis role is being hired on either a permanent part-time basis or full-time basis and is located out of our central office in Belmont.*Skills, Attributes And Experience*Provisional registration as a BSP is desirable but not essentialRegistration with a governing body such as AHPRA or Speech Pathology Australia is desirable but not essentialPrevious experience working with people with a disability in the context of positive behaviour supportMust possess or be willing to obtain both an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children CheckMust have a valid drivers licence and a reliable vehicleSt Jude's NDIS are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
