Job Title: Production Shift Manager – Afternoon Shift
Location: Naas, Co. Kildare

Working Hours: Afternoon Shift (4:00pm – 12:30am)
Job Purpose:
The Production Shift Manager will be responsible for leading the afternoon shift team in a high-volume food manufacturing environment. This role will manage a team of operators and team leads, ensuring the delivery of production targets while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage and motivate a team of operators and team leads to achieve production targets and KPIs
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality standards (HACCP, BRC, etc.) at all times
* Monitor line performance, troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure adherence to company policies and health & safety protocols
* Provide on-shift leadership, performance feedback and support to team members
* Liaise with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, and Planning to ensure smooth operations
* Maintain accurate shift reports and production records
* Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction initiatives
* Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork and high performance across the shift
Key Requirements:
* 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory/management role in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
* Strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems (HACCP, BRC, GMP)
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
* Flexible, reliable and committed to continuous improvement
Desirable:
* Relevant third-level qualification in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management or related field
* Experience working in chilled, ambient or high-care food production environments
