We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to join our Cork team on a permanent basis.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1. Manage, mentor, and coordinate site staff and sub-contractors.
2. Liaise with site management to ensure project plans and schedules are met within set timelines.
3. Manage design team members to ensure value, buildability, and adherence to program expectations from planning to completion.
4. Ensure quality and customer expectations are met, complying with building regulations and standards.
5. Provide bi-weekly/monthly reports to senior management on project status, including program, H&S, quality, and budget.
6. Translate work requirements into prioritized plans for crews and sub-contractors.
7. Engage with utility providers and warranty companies like Homebond, Irish Water, and ESB.
8. Manage project costs in collaboration with Quantity Surveyors and the Site Management team.
9. Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, regulations, and good building practices.
10. Maintain health and safety standards, leading continuous improvement on sites.
11. Operate in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
12. Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines.
13. Experience in ground services is preferable.
14. Liaise with architects, consultants, clients, authorities, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding contractual amendments.
15. Practice workplace safety at all times.
16. Maintain a presentable and well-maintained site.
Qualifications and Certifications
The candidate must hold and maintain all relevant certifications and authorizations required by industry standards and legislation. Additional training should be undertaken as required by statute or the company.
