Our client is seeking a
Senior Data Migration
specialist to work on and oversee a large system implementation project.
Role holder will possess the technical skills listed below as well as a solid understanding of core project management principles and the overall software development lifecycle.
This is a hybrid opportunity in Dublin, Ireland with an expectation of onsite work too.
The candidate will combine deep functional and technical knowledge of the various technology stacks including Oracle, MS SQL, MS Dynamics 365 product (and the wider Microsoft technology stack) all with excellent client engagement and consulting skills.
The role holder will need to demonstrate awareness or experience in data migration, design and delivery across various technologies such as Amazon Connect, CRM platforms (Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics), ERP systems (Oracle Fusion/SAP S4/HANA/Workday), Cloud services (Microsoft Azure/AWS/GCP), analytics tools (Tableau/Power BI/Alteryx), workflow automation platforms, and Global Risk Compliance (GRC) platforms, alongside a broader understanding of secure design principles, services, controls, and data ETL.
Work with the Technical lead and suppliers to define data migration strategy, policy and plans to ensure successful migration of data.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop tools, processes for data acquisition, cleansing and profiling.
Responsible for preparing, executing and monitoring/tracking data migrations in conjunction with business project managers.
Responsible for identifying and creating data transformation rules and mappings.
Seek to continuously improve the data migration process and associated ETL mappings.
Drive improvement, fixes of ETL mappings via relevant stakeholders.
Drive execution of data migration tasks.
Requirements
Experience with Data Migration
Hands-on experience moving data between legacy systems and modern platforms.
Expertise in planning and executing data migration strategies.
Ability to troubleshoot migration issues and validate migrated data.
Understanding of compliance and security considerations during migration.
Oracle
Expertise in Oracle databases for managing large-scale transactional systems.
Ability to design, optimise, and maintain schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
Familiarity with Oracle tools for performance tuning and data integrity.
MS SQL
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server for relational data management.
Skills in writing complex queries, indexing strategies, and database optimisation.
Experience with SSIS/SSRS for data integration and reporting.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 – Customer Service
Proficiency in configuring and customising Dynamics 365 Customer Service modules.
Understanding of workflows, business rules, and case management.
Ability to integrate Dynamics with other systems for seamless customer experience.
Power Apps, Pages, Portal (or similar technologies)
Capability to build low-code/no-code applications using Power Apps.
Experience creating responsive pages and portals for internal and external users.
Knowledge of connecting apps to data sources like Dataverse or SharePoint.
Azure DevOps
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
Managing source control, work items, and release processes in Azure DevOps.
Ability to support agile development practices and DevOps culture.
Dataverse, Data Lake
Understanding of Microsoft Dataverse for storing and managing business data.
Experience with Azure Data Lake for big data storage and analytics.
Skills in data modelling and integration between these platforms.
Microsoft Fabric
Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric for unified analytics and data governance.
Ability to leverage Fabric for data pipelines, reporting, and AI-driven insights.
