We are looking for someone who can lead our energy and sustainability strategy on major residential and commercial developments, working closely with internal teams and external partners. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-performance, low-carbon building solutions across Ireland.
The successful candidate will oversee project performance, profitability, and client relationships. You will coordinate dynamic thermal modelling (IESVE), SAP assessments, daylighting, and natural ventilation analysis, as well as deliver planning-ready Energy & Sustainability Statements and support planning applications.
In this key role, you will undertake and supervise BREEAM-related studies (LZC tech, emissions, comfort, etc.) and complete domestic and non-domestic EPCs for new and existing buildings. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal upskilling.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage energy & sustainability strategies across all projects (internal & external)
* Oversee project performance, profitability, and client relationships
* Coordinate dynamic thermal modelling (IESVE), SAP assessments, daylighting, and natural ventilation analysis
* Deliver planning-ready Energy & Sustainability Statements and support planning applications
* Undertake and supervise BREEAM-related studies (LZC tech, emissions, comfort, etc.)
* Complete domestic and non-domestic EPCs for new and existing buildings
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal upskilling
Requirements
* BEng/MEng in Mechanical, Environmental, Energy, or Sustainability Engineering
* 5+ years experience in a similar sustainability-focused engineering role
* Strong knowledge of IESVE and Part L compliance, SAP/SBEM, EPCs, and BREEAM
* Excellent communication and report writing skills
* Strong project coordination and stakeholder management ability
* Chartered or working towards Chartership (support provided)
