Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Position summary:
The Electrical Commissioning Engineer will support the successful commissioning and handover of electrical and associated control systems for the Lab Project. This role will suit a motivated, detail-oriented engineer with strong experience in commissioning within regulated environments such as pharmaceutical or life sciences.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring systems are delivered safely, compliantly, and in line with project and client expectations.
General
Support commissioning activities across multiple systems and laboratory environments
Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and client representatives
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards
Assist in tracking commissioning progress and reporting status updates
Participate in project meetings and contribute to successful project delivery
Maintain accurate documentation throughout all commissioning phases
Key Technical Responsibilities:
Support commissioning and validation of electrical and control systems across multiple lab rooms
Execute and support key project milestones including:
PSSR – Pre-Start-Up Safety Review
MC – Mechanical Completion
STW – Set to Work
SAT – Site Acceptance Testing
FT – Functional Testing
TCCC – Transfer of Care, Custody and Control (handover to client)
Work across the following systems:
Electrical Systems
BMS (GMP and Non-GMP)
NQBMS Control Subsystems
Security Systems
Life Safety Systems
Safety Showers
Ensure all systems are tested, commissioned, and documented in accordance with project requirements
Support issue resolution, troubleshooting, and system optimizationEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards and client specifications
Assist with preparation and execution of commissioning documentation and checklists
Education & Experience:
Degree or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
