CavanWe have an exciting new opportunity with our client, a leading global manufacturer in the precision engineering industry, with over 60 years of experience delivering high-quality products for industrial applications.They are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their team on a 6-month employee contract, with the potential to progress into a Maintenance Fitter Apprenticeship.This is a fantastic entry-level role for someone interested in starting a career in mechanical and electrical maintenance within a high-tech, automated manufacturing environment.
Role Responsibilities
Assist the maintenance team with preventative and reactive maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Learn to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems under guidance.
Support the team with machinery rebuilds, upgrades, and new equipment installations.
Help maintain spare parts inventory and ensure equipment is ready for production.
Contribute to machine risk assessments and safety checks.
Shadow and learn from experienced Maintenance Fitters to build skills and knowledge for your apprenticeship.
What we are looking for
Recent school leaver/ enthusiastic individual with an interest in mechanical, electrical, or engineering work.
Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, practical approach.
Willingness to learn, take instruction, and develop technical skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A keen interest in starting a career in maintenance and engineering.
