Health and Safety ManagerA Health and Safety Manager with 5+ years of civil engineering experience is required for a major infrastructure project in Cork. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a strong safety culture on-site. Ideal for a proactive Health and Safety Manager who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative environment.Role:Implement and monitor site-specific health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.Conduct site audits and inspections and safety walkdowns to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.Report and investigate all accidents, incidents, near-misses, and hazards – ensuring follow-up actions are completed.Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and staff training.Promote behavioral safety and continuous improvementLiaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve safety issues promptly.Ensure proper use of PPE, machinery, and equipment in line with statutory requirements.Requirements:5+ years' experience in a similar Health and Safety Manager roleExperience in civil engineering or constructionNEBOSH/IOSH Diploma or equivalent health & safety qualificationKnowledge of HSE legislation and best practices in constructionStrong IT skills and experience using construction-related digital tools and MS Word/ExcelStrong communicator with proven leadership and motivational skillsDetail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk managementFull clean driving licenseRight to work in ROIPackage:Salary circa €75k-€85kGreat benefits packageCompany vehicle / travel allowanceIf you are a Health and Safety Manager considering a career move, please feel to send your CV or contact Amy Maguire for a confidential discussion.
