Barden are delighted to be acting on behalf of the CEO (and Board) of a rapidly scaling, publicly listed, life sciences company to support the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer.
This is a key, strategic, appointment that will have significant impact in charting the future course of the organisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE
While this role will lead the entire finance organisation, the day to day will entail working closely with the CEO on three key activities:
1) Investor Relations & Communications:
Develop and manage the investor relations strategy, ensuring transparent and effective communication with current and prospective investors.
Represent the company at investor conferences, roadshows, and analyst meetings.
Craft and disseminate key financial messages, press releases, and investor presentations.
Organize and manage investor days, earnings calls, and one-on-one meetings with institutional investors and analysts.
Act as a primary point of contact for investor inquiries and manage relationships with sell-side and buy-side analysts.
2) Strategic Financial Leadership & Fundraising:
Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies to support the company's long-term growth.
Lead all fundraising efforts, including private equity, strategic partnerships, grants, and debt financing.
Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, investment banks and other financial stakeholders.
Evaluate and execute potential strategic transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and licensing agreements.
3) Strategic Leadership and Oversight of financial Planning & Analysis:
Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
Cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation to ensure adequate runway for operations and R&D.
Robust financial models for pipeline valuation, clinical trial costs, and commercialization projections.
Financial analysis and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
ABOUT THE PERSON
Qualified accountant with 10-15 years experience in a CFO or equivalent role ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotech, med device or a related life sciences organisation.
Experience in Investor Relations/Capital Markets/Fund raising is essential.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to contribute and operate at Board level.
Strong leadership ability and a track record of shaping and evolving teams.
(This is a CFO role in a publicly listed company and, as such, salary and reward structures will be commensurate with a position of this nature.)
