Job Purpose
As a Staff Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supervising and providing comprehensive nursing care, ensuring the health and comfort of our residents.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Managing residents' admissions, discharges, and medication administration in line with best practices.
* Developing individual care plans using a person-centered approach.
* Ensuring the accurate and timely recording of Care Notes and Plans.
* Maintaining high standards of resident care and hygiene.
* Supervising mealtimes, attending to feeding requirements, and performing necessary personal care tasks.
* Assisting with in-house training, emergency response, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Assume responsibility on each shift for the nursing care of allocated residents.
* Plan and deliver a high standard of evidence-based individualized care.
* Lead a team of Health Care Assistants, allocate duties and ensure that they are performing their duties adequately.
* Evaluate resident care needs and in conjunction with our multi-disciplinary team implement and evaluate individualized care plans that meet the resident’s needs.
* Adhere to the procedures/guidelines in place.
* Maintain clear, concise and accurate records within the home in accordance with legislation.
* Must be able to quickly and effectively work in an emergency situation.
* Perform procedures accurately, completely and safely.
* Build strong relationships with residents to encourage trust and understand their needs.
* Knowledge and awareness of HIQA standards and ability to participate in inspection process.
* Shifts are rostered Monday to Sunday and will include night duty.
Requirements
* Registered on the Irish live register (NMBI). Must have active PIN.
* Bachelor’s (preferred).
* 1 year Nursing experience (preferred).
* Experience of HIQA Standards and Health Act Regulations 2013.
* Strong clinical & communication skills are required.
* IT skills, Computer literate in Outlook, Work and Excel.
* Fluent in English language (verbal and written).
* Proven attention to detail and follow through.
