Sous Chef - Resort property Co Waterford
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our team at a resort property in Co Waterford.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and personnel, ensuring high standards in food preparation.
* Coordinate scheduling, labour costs, recruitment, and oversee staff performance.
* Work hands-on in a fast-paced environment, controlling service from the front.
* Contribute to menu development for special events, seasonal changes, and various outlets.
* Prioritize, organize, delegate tasks, and oversee staff performance.
* Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and other departments.
* Ensure HACCP standards are implemented and documented, minimizing food and energy wastage.
* Foster a cohesive team environment among kitchen staff and stewarding team.
* Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, requesting repairs when needed.
* Assist in onboarding and training new hires, and develop ongoing training programs for staff.
Requirements:
* 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Ireland.
The property is open year-round. The role is available immediately. Applicants must have the legal right to live in Ireland. Interviews will be conducted in person at the resort.
