As a Lift Engineer Apprentice in the Dublin area, you may travel around the rest of the country. The programme runs for four years and includes your SOLAS Apprenticeship, the NVQ, and in-field experience. Upon successful graduation, you will become a fully qualified lift engineer, with potential progression into Schindler Field Operation teams depending on availability.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the four-year Lift Engineer Apprenticeship program (SOLAS, NVQ) and gain field experience while working toward qualification.Travel around Ireland as part of apprenticeship duties.QualificationsMinimum age: 16 years.Educational requirements: Grade D Pass in five subjects on the Junior Certificate or an approved equivalent, or completion of an approved Pre-Apprenticeship course, or three years’ relevant work experience as deemed acceptable by SOLAS.Previous study in Mathematics, Technology, Technical Drawing/Graphics, Physics and Construction Studies is advantageous but not essential.Good communication skills.Customer service skills.Logical thinking and practical skills.Analytical personal qualities.Working WeekMonday to Thursday 8:30–17:00; Friday 8:30–16:30.
