Job Description
The role of a Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist is to provide high-quality patient care and promote best practices in the management of tissue viability conditions. This involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate care for patients with complex tissue viability issues. The successful candidate will have extensive experience and clinical expertise in nursing, as well as skills in communication, leadership, teaching, education, research, and counselling.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be eligible for this position candidates must hold a Registered General Nurse qualification from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or equivalent regulatory body. Five years post-registration experience within an acute hospital setting is required along with formal recognised post-registration education relevant to specialist practice at level 9 (Graduate Diploma or Honours degree).
