We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data engineer join our team, ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing & delivering scalable data solutions using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, eventhub & graph data modelling.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, and delivering scalable data solutions using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, event hub/streaming technologies that support NRT ingestions and Azure Cosmos DB/AWs Neptune (value add). This role will involve coaching data engineers technically on topics like Azure databricks, optimizing dataworkflows, and collaborating with internal teams on various aspects &extensive hands on experience in Azure Data engineering Tech stack.
Highly proficient in databricks and pyspark has an added advantage for this role.
This resource would stand as a go-to engineer for the data engineering lead/manager who he/she reports to and helps drive engineering best practices, guide junior engineers, and contribute to shaping our architectural direction - its purely a hands-on role.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
* 7+ years of experience in modern data engineering roles.
* 3+ years of hands-on experience across
Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Spark
, and large-scale data processing.
* Strong programming experience in
Python, SQL
, and familiarity with
Scala
.
* Experience with big-data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Delta Lake.
* Expertise working with Azure cloud services including ADF, Azure DevOps, and related tools.
* Solid understanding of ETL/ELT best practices, data modeling, and data warehousing principles.
* Experience with graph ETL or graph databases (Azure Cosmos DB / AWS Neptune) is a significant advantage.
* Strong CI/CD and DevOps experience (Git, automated deployments, testing).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex data challenges.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to
co-lead technical discussions
, mentor others, and contribute to team strategy.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
* Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark.
* Experience with data governance and data security practices.
* Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
