**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Buyer Planner & Logistics Specialist to join our team at Controlled Environments Company (CEC). As a single source supplier and solutions provider to customers operating in critically clean and controlled environments, we require an individual who can maintain service level and provide support to domestic and international customers.
**Responsibilities:**
* Manage product categories to ensure continuous supply and optimal inventory levels.
* Review minimum stock holdings against average sales analysis to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
* Reduce excess inventory levels by implementing efficient storage and rotation strategies.
* Maximize warehouse space utilization through effective layout design and inventory management.
* Work within agreed time scales and deadlines to meet customer expectations.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chain operations.
* Participate in cost reduction activities to optimize business efficiency.
* Deliver high-quality and cost-effective solutions that meet customer needs.
* Monitor vendor performance and align it with in-house quality systems.
* Perform departmental administration duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
* Analyze and resolve purchasing issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
**Requirements:**
* Experience working in a similar role and/or industry is essential.
* Possess a passion for delivering first-class customer service to customers.
* Previous experience working with multinational organisations would be beneficial.
* Able to identify customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction with every enquiry.
* Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Strong communication, organisational, and administration skills.
* Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexible and proactive attitude with the ability to anticipate and solve problems.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office package, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Previous experience using an ERP system, such as SAP, would be advantageous.
