We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our school lunch distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and packing food items according to school lunch orders, ensuring all meals are complete, labelled correctly, and ready for timely delivery. This position plays a key role in helping schools receive nutritious meals for their students.Working hours 9am to 5pm Monday to FridayThis is a school term contractKey Responsibilities:Pick and pack school lunch orders based on daily order sheetsEnsure accuracy of items selected, including correct quantities, labels, and packagingFollow food safety, hygiene, and handling guidelines at all timesLoad ovens for the Hot Meal deliveries.Maintain clean and organized work areas, including storage and packing zonesCommunicate with team leads or supervisors regarding shortages, substitutions, or discrepanciesAssist with inventory checks, stock rotation, and restocking shelves as neededWork efficiently to meet daily deadlines for order completion and dispatchPerform other duties as assigned to support kitchen, warehouse, or delivery operationsRequirements:Previous experience in food service, warehouse, or order picking is a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentBasic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (training provided)Accuracy and attention to detail is criticalWork Environment:Involves working in refrigerated or temperature-controlled environmentsMorning or early start hours basedUniforms or protective gear provided as neededDon't miss an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in a family owned business Gourmet Kids, a family owned hot lunch school provider based in Raheen Limerick, is looking for dedicated individuals to become part of our expanding team.
