Occupational Therapist Specialist Role
This position involves working as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support services to children and young adults with disabilities.
* Assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic interventions will be provided in the context of a collaborative team environment.
* The team aims to maximise the child/young adult's full potential and works within the context of the family and community, empowering and supporting parents/care givers and family members.
Key Responsibilities:
* To work with children and young adults aged 0-18 years with intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and/or mental health and Autism spectrum disorder.
* To develop and coordinate individualised family service plans (IFSPs) or equivalent in line with relevant policies and procedures.
* To utilise autism diagnostic assessments such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) as part of a multi-disciplinary team approach.
Requirements:
* Registration with the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU is mandatory.
* Three years full-time post qualification clinical experience is required.
* Minimum two years full time experience of working with children & young adults 0-18 years, including intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and/or mental health and Autism spectrum disorder.
