OverviewWe have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Principal / Lead Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Dublin. With excellent people skills, you have a proven ability to work in partnership at all levels. The role will focus on projects in the Pharmaceutical and Data Centre Sectors.With high levels of commitment, your responsibilities will include leading various stages of projects whilst gaining the opportunity to further develop technical and managerial skills along with excellent opportunities for career advancement. A key part of your role will be to support and mentor your team-members.ResponsibilitiesExperience across a broad range of structural engineering projects; experience in industrial buildings (Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor, Food or Energy projects) would be an advantageExperience with managing a team of Engineers, Designers, and Technicians to develop structural packages for tender and constructionCoordination with other PM Group offices to understand the scope of work, deliverables, timelines, work hours, etc.Progress reporting and resource hours control for the Structural Scope.Experience in dealing with contractors and resolving problems in a timely mannerA strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection, and businessClear and concise written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal/people skills with the ability to manage design personnelA proven track record working closely in partnership with clients and contractors, and other members of design teamsA proactive approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenariosThorough knowledge and experience in structural analysis and design of building structuresAbility to deliver structural design scope to tight deadlines.Excellent knowledge of design using Eurocodes for structural steel and concrete.Experience using structural software such as Robot and TeklaQualificationsA Degree or Masters in Structural Engineering and ideally Chartered with the Institute of Structural Engineers.Minimum 15 years post graduate experience working for Engineering ConsultanciesWhy PM Group?As an employee-owned company, we are inclusive, committed and driven.
