Job Opportunity

We are seeking a part-time Podiatrist to work in our clinics in Dublin, Ireland.


About the Role:

* The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and treatment for foot, ankle, and lower-leg problems.


Key Responsibilities:

* Treat a variety of skin ailments such as verrucae, corns, calluses, etc. using evidence-based practices.
* Assess and treat ingrown toenails, clipping toenails, and general feet tidy up to maintain patient comfort.
* Treat patients with diabetes at increased risk of foot disease who require preventative care and assistance to prevent complications.
* Determine the condition of a patient's feet, ankles, or lower legs by reviewing medical history, listening to concerns, and performing a thorough physical examination.
* Diagnose foot, ankle, and lower-leg problems through physical exams and other diagnostic methods.
* Provide treatment for foot, ankle, and lower-leg ailments, such as prescribing orthotics to improve and correct deformities.
* Give advice and instruction on foot and ankle care and general wellness techniques to promote patient self-care.
* Educate patients on how to improve conditions and prevent further complications.
* Liaise with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs, Physiotherapists, and other MDT members, to exchange information about patient progress and refer to other physicians or specialists if larger health problems are detected.
* Meet continuous education requirements and maintain an up-to-date CPD folder to stay current with best practices.
* Write patient case notes and reports, collect statistics, manage payments, and issue receipts in a timely manner.
* Place stock orders and log repairs to maintain efficient operations.
* In some cases, supervise student and junior podiatrists and enhance teaching skills to mentor the next generation of podiatrists.
* Manage clinical risk and maintain strong infection control awareness to ensure a safe working environment.
* Be caring, compassionate, and professional with the patient at the core of every action.
