At AECOM, we are currently seeking an Associate Project Manager (Data Centres) to join our Dublin office.
The Opportunity
As an Associate Project Manager specialising in data centres and colocation facilities, you will support the successful delivery of mission‑critical projects. You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle — from early‑stage concept and design development through procurement, construction, and commissioning — ensuring projects meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing a portfolio of clients and delivering multiple concurrent data centre projects
Driving revenue growth through repeat business by ensuring consistent, high‑quality project execution
Achieving and maintaining targeted profit margins across all assigned projects
Delivering projects without financial write‑downs or margin erosion
Managing projects involving Risk Triggering Factors (RTFs), proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues
Leading complex client engagements and high‑value, technically demanding projects
Exercising decision‑making authority to guide project teams in identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
Directing teams to operate efficiently while minimising exposure to contractual claims
Supervising and mentoring Project Managers overseeing multiple projects or large‑scale programmes
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will bring experience within the buildings sector, along with the following qualifications and professional credentials:
A postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
Currently working towards Chartered status with one of the following professional bodies: RICS / CIOB / ICE / RIBA / Engineers Ireland
Membership of, or affiliation with, the Association for Project Management (APM) would be advantageous
