Based in our Naas/Kill office, Howden Ireland is pleased to announce a vacancy for an Account Executive position within our Wholesale Commercial book of business. This role is an integral part of our wider Commercial team.
About the role:
Reporting to the Team Leader and Head of New Business, the successful Wholesale Commercial Account Executive will focus on growing and developing the Wholesale book, ensuring client retention and satisfaction through tailored insurance solutions. The role also involves identifying and securing cross-sell opportunities to expand the client base. Strong relationship management, negotiation, and sales skills are essential to optimize client portfolios and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with new business clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term loyalty.
2. Oversee the New Business process for commercial insurance policies, including reviewing terms, negotiating renewals, and ensuring timely completion.
3. Evaluate clients' risk profiles and advise on suitable insurance products and coverage options.
4. Provide exceptional service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining high client satisfaction.
5. Achieve New Business and Renewal targets.
6. Implement company’s compliance and office procedures, including New Business Development and Renewal Procedures documentation.
7. Stay updated on market practices and product availability, providing feedback to management regarding market issues, pricing, service levels, and product development.
8. Collaborate with other teams within the Group to facilitate training, product development, and operational efficiencies.
9. Attend client visits with management as required.
10. Adhere to compliance outlined in the Handbook and Procedures Manual.
About You:
1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a commercial insurance role.
2. Minimum CIP or Grandfathered Commercial qualification with proof of up-to-date CPD.
3. Excellent technical knowledge of commercial insurance products and market.
4. Proven experience managing a client portfolio, including handling renewals and inquiries.
5. Proficient in negotiating terms to achieve favorable outcomes.
6. Strong relationship-building skills to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
7. Full clean driving license.
