Overview
As a National Account Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on developing relationships with key multiple retailers and delivering the commercial plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and account management, a deep understanding of the Irish retail landscape, and a passion for building and maintaining strong customer relationships. The role reports to the Head of Sales and may involve cross-functional team projects.
Duties And Responsibilities
* Lead the development of weekly, monthly, and quarterly action plans and category plans for customers in line with the annual account plan and the overall company strategic plan.
* Own sales performance across Brand and Own Brand in your key account.
* Create (with Brand Teams) strategic promotional planning cycles for assigned accounts, providing ideas and insight to deliver sales and market share growth.
* Manage and develop high-level customer relationships and networks, building integrity, trust and respect across functions.
* Deliver the launch of new products with customers, including selling in the new product, agreeing commercials, and providing samples.
* Own accurate sales forecasts, working closely with demand planning and production teams.
* Develop and negotiate annual Joint Business Plans (JBP) and Long-Term Agreements (LTA) with key retail and convenience customers.
* Act as a key stakeholder in the development and training of commercial graduates and junior team members.
* Lead and develop team members to support growth and development.
Expectations, Competencies & Qualifications
* 4-5 years of sales and customer management experience.
* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree is a bonus).
* Excellent numerical and organizational skills.
* Clear communicator with strong persuasive and presentation capabilities.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
* Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
* Resilience and the ability to work on their own initiative.
* Full clean driving license.
