Engineering Manager – Limerick
Are you an experienced Engineering Manager ready to lead a multidisciplinary team developing next-generation products? A fast-growing technology company is seeking a talented and driven Engineering Manager to lead a diverse team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary engineering team spanning hardware, software, and mechanical domains.
Collaborate closely with functional leads to ensure alignment, accountability and effective cross-team communication.
Define clear roles, responsibilities and career paths to support both technical excellence and leadership growth.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and high performance with a strong focus on quality and delivery.
Plan and manage team expansion and organizational scaling in line with strategic company growth objectives.
Oversee the full product development lifecycle — from concept and design to validation, production and launch.
Ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical and software systems.
Drive best practices in design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT).
Collaborate with product, manufacturing and quality teams to deliver market-ready solutions.
Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing scope, quality, cost and timelines.
Continuously improve engineering processes and documentation standards.
Manage engineering budgets, staffing and lab/test infrastructure.
Communicate progress, challenges, and achievements to senior stakeholders.
Contribute to long-term technology strategy and organizational growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Software or Mechatronics Engineering.
8+ years of R&D / product development experience – within Electronic / Embedded / Software design.
At least 5 years leading teams of 30+.
Proven track record delivering complex hardware/software products to market.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and New Product Introduction (NPI).
Experience in high-volume, complex electronics or similar industries preferred.
Exceptional leadership, communication and project management skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to balance technical and business requirements in a fast-paced environment.
