About Your New Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take ownership of electrical building services design across a range of residential and commercial developments, managing projects from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Leading LV electrical design, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, and containment systems
Producing technical calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings
Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, architectural, structural) to ensure fully integrated designs
Managing project deliverables, timelines, and client requirements across all design stages
Reviewing technical submissions, drawings, and RFIs during construction
Supporting site inspections, commissioning, and project handover
Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
Contributing to quality assurance (QA), sustainability targets, and best practice design standards
Representing the electrical discipline in client and design team meetings
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
6+ years’ experience in electrical building services design
Strong knowledge of LV systems, lighting design, earthing & bonding, and life safety systems
Proficiency in industry software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux, or Amtech
Working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, ET101, and relevant IS standards
Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams
Proven ability to manage deadlines and deliver project packages
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is advantageous
