Job Title: Senior Site Engineer

As a Senior Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering civil infrastructure and utility projects successfully. Your primary responsibilities include leading site engineering activities and serving as the main technical advisor on-site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.

* Oversee all setting out and surveying work using total stations, GPS, AutoCAD, and other digital tools to ensure accurate positioning and measurements.
* Plan and manage daily site operations, ensuring works are delivered to specification, on schedule, and with minimal variance from budget targets.
* Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with site safety and housekeeping, conducting regular toolbox talks and risk assessments to maintain high standards of site safety.
* Collaborate with project managers, clients, consultants, and design teams to resolve technical queries and deliver seamless project execution.
* Manage site records and documentation, including method statements, permits, site diaries, QA/QC checklists, and progress reports.
* Mentor and support junior engineers and site staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance site culture.
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors, reviewing plans, inspecting materials, and ensuring alignment with project goals.
* Contribute to project planning and progress meetings, offering engineering insight to improve productivity and quality.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in civil engineering or utility projects (e.g., water, energy, telecoms).
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
* Proficiency in setting out and surveying techniques with GPS/Total Station and AutoCAD.
* Strong understanding of Irish construction and health & safety regulations.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
* Full driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites.
