Base pay range

UCD Professional Academy is looking for an experienced E-Learning Project Manager to join our Product team, with expertise in instructional design, and hands-on experience in Moodle or related platforms.

This role will focus on developing new courses for the Professional Academy Diploma Portfolio, as well as maintaining our existing content. Working closely with internal stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), you\'ll manage the end-to-end course development process using agile principles, ensuring every course reflects strong instructional design practices.

Accessible on learner\'s terms, courses can be studied on-demand, live online and in the classroom. We partner with corporate clients to deliver the skills and capabilities their organisation\'s staff need now and into the future, helping to build a better equipped, and more engaged team.


What You'll Do

* Apply consistent formatting, structure, and editorial quality across materials
* Step in to write or edit activities, questions, and supporting resources as needed
* Own the delivery timeline, communication, and stakeholder coordination for assigned projects
* Maintain a subset of the course portfolio, tracking updates, industry changes, and learner feedback
* Manage multiple course development and maintenance projects at a time, ensuring each delivers a high-quality learning experience
* Support and guide SMEs through the full development process, from initial planning to release
* Review, challenge, and refine course content, quizzes, and assessments for accuracy and instructional strength


What You Bring

* Ability to thrive in a busy and productive hybrid environment
* Strong process-driven approach to designing, managing, and documenting projects
* 3-5 years of experience in designing and developing online instructional content (experience in a commercial, non-academic, Learning and Development context is a plus)
* Familiar with course design and instructional design principles; able to formulate and apply course design guidelines
* Passion for knowledge and learning: willing to dive deep into course content, even if not your area of expertise, to assist with course design and smooth SME interaction
* Commitment to quality and consistency, with the ability to spot gaps and refine processes
* Confident communicator: able to provide constructive feedback to SMEs and manage multiple stakeholders
* Strong writing skills: able to write courseware and process documentation for trainers, operation teams, sales and marketing in coordination with subject matter experts when required
* Familiarity with instructional design for online, video, and blended formats
* Experience using or supporting Moodle-based course design, or similar platforms
* Comfortable using G Suite and/or Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint); willing to adapt as tools evolve
