This also includes other activities spanning across connected departments within the company and other companies involved in main warehouse activities.The RoleAdvise on all matters relating to the supplies thereby ensuring that adequate levels of stock are maintained at all times.Maintain stock, stock control records by organizing and maintaining documents of materials received, requisitions, receipts, and issuing documents.Organise and assist with weekly stock takes.Shift activities based on the workload and duty roster.Performance of the staff in the shift from efficiency, compliance and safe working place point of view. Staff performance and work discipline is maintained at all the timesOrganising the training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress.Accountabilities related to placement /allocation of resources (i.e. human and/or equipment) required for planning/ leading the deployment processes.All assigned staff is professionally supervised, to achieve the objectives agreed upon with and provide the necessary guidance whenever required.Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.Meets warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items.Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Supervising a team and managing performance.Other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you in line with business needs by your Line Manager.The RequirementsValid forklift license.
