We are seeking a proactive and energetic Assistant General Manager to join our team at The Royal Arklow—a vibrant venue combining 23 welcoming bedrooms with a late-night bar featuring DJs and live entertainment.

The Role
As Assistant General Manager, you will support the General Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel and bar. You'll play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high service standards, and helping deliver exceptional guest experiences across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support daily operations of the hotel, bar, and entertainment areas.
* Assist in supervising and motivating staff to deliver excellent service.
* Help manage costs and contribute to achieving profitability targets.
* Assist in booking DJs, live acts, and entertainment to maintain a varied and engaging schedule.
* Contribute to event planning and execution to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
* Support stock control processes, including ordering, tracking, and stock takes.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing, and food hygiene standards.
* Handle guest queries and assist in resolving issues promptly and professionally.
* Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and guest experience.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a supervisory or junior management role within hospitality.
* Strong leadership qualities and the ability to support and guide a diverse team.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking skills in a busy environment.
* A passion for outstanding customer service.
* Experience or interest in sourcing and coordinating entertainment is an advantage.
* Basic knowledge of stock management processes.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
