Job Title: Agricultural Machinery Support Specialist
This is a full-time permanent role in the agricultural industry.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Engineer or Mechanic to join our team as an Agricultural Machinery Support Specialist. As a key member of our service support team, you will be responsible for maintaining effective and accurate communications between our suppliers' dealers and end customers.
You will contribute to the efficient running of our service support team by providing technical assistance and guidance on daily basis to resolve customer issues. You will also coordinate with suppliers to resolve any customer queries and collaborate with team members and management to manage and develop the dealer network.
This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You must have a proactive approach to work, with the ability to prioritize tasks according to urgency and adapt to changing circumstances.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, although we will consider graduates or recently qualified mechanics. You will need to have knowledge of retail service department processes and practices, familiarity with farming practices machine operation, maintenance, and service.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for field/remote aspects of after-sales service
* Machine assembly
* Liaise with dealers on daily basis to resolve technical and customer issues
* Daily in-person and on-phone guidance and technical support
* Coordinate with suppliers to resolve any customer queries
* Collaborate with team members and management on regular basis to manage and develop the dealer network
* Attend product training internally and internationally
* Furnish weekly reports to Service manager
* Participate in-field technical and sales training
* Assist other areas of the business where required
Requirements:
* Qualified Agricultural Engineer or Agricultural Mechanic
* 1-2 years work experience ideal (Will also consider graduate or recently qualified mechanics)
* Knowledge of retail service department processes and practices
* Familiarity with farming practices machine operation, maintenance, and service
* Willingness to learn and develop a career within the company
* Proactive approach to work, with proven ability to work on own initiative and ability to prioritise tasks according to urgency
* Flexibility to travel abroad when required
