At Fiskars’ Billnäs factory in Western Uusimaa, we produce Fiskars’ well-known scissors, axes, snow tools, and forged products with around 200 employees.
We are looking for a Manager, Quality, Environment, Health, & Safety (QEHS), who will lead the implementation and development of QEHS standards and procedures, partnering with Billnäs factory leadership on compliance, project management, reporting, and related QEHS issues.
This role will participate actively in site leadership, focusing on planning, QEHS governance, auditing, management systems, best practice sharing, compliance initiatives, and governmental/regulatory reporting. The primary goal is to enhance safety culture and achieve world-class QEHS performance, deploying the factory’s strategy and vision effectively to elevate safety and environmental standards.
Main responsibility areas:
1. Strategic goals: Achieve a strategic framework for QEHS objectives aligned with group goals, define factory action plans, and ensure their implementation with occupational safety and health delegates.
2. Metering and follow-up: Set and monitor safety KPIs, manage performance dialogues, and report on safety and environmental metrics, including LTI and environmental performance.
Compliance: Ensure safety and environmental activities meet legislative requirements, conduct ISO audits, and act as factory management representative for QEHS systems.
Working environment: Lead safety incident investigations, oversee the occupational safety committee, and contribute to factory 5S and lean activities.
Cooperation: Collaborate with local team leaders, other Fiskars sites, and group QEHS community.
Training: Develop training materials, coach colleagues, and provide guidance on health, safety, and quality issues.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in industrial environments, engineering, manufacturing, and project management is advantageous. Fluency in Finnish and English is required.
