Key Roles and Responsibilities
The Commercial Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of customers across various sectors. They will review case strategies, ensure credit recommendations are in line with regulatory codes, and provide support to borrowers in difficulty.
Main Accountabilities
* Managing inbound correspondence
* Attending project calls and operational meetings for the purpose of reviews and other ad hoc matters
* Meeting and negotiating with borrowers in relation to debt settlement arrangements
* Providing support to the wider team as required
* Connection level case management
* Credit analysis, decision making, credit submissions and decision implementation
* Proactive management of customers in line with agreed exit strategy at loan level, including litigation
* Action CRM system appropriately to ensure accounts are at the correct status
* Work closely with other members of the RM team
* Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Qualified Financial Advisor
* A bachelors degree (or equivalent)
* 5 years minimum experience in commercial debt management, restructuring or workout
* Strong negotiation skills
* Commercial Relationship management experience essential
* Ability to analyse company profit & loss statements and balance sheet
* Confidence to assume responsibility and initiative
* Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, dashboards, data manipulation)
* Advanced Microsoft Powerpoint skills (presentation of financial results to clients / board of directors)
* Excellent, in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of CCMA, CPC, SME and how to apply these through interactions with our customers
* Full driving license, with access to a vehicle for work purposes
