Job Summary
Position: Associate Professor B in Computer Science (Algorithm Analysis)
Purpose: Lead research and teaching in algorithm analysis, design, computational complexity, and software engineering. Contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including supervision. Engage with industrial software development and research collaborations.
Candidate Profile / Requirements
Research: Demonstrated excellence in algorithm design and analysis. Strong publication record and capacity to attract external research funding. Evidence of engagement with software engineering in industry is highly desirable.
Teaching: Ability to contribute to teaching and supervision across undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Support the Immersive Software Engineering (ISE) programme. Work with Lero – the Irish Software Research Centre. Participate in interdisciplinary research and teaching initiatives.
Responsibilities
Conduct high-quality research in algorithm analysis and related areas.
Attract external funding and maintain a strong publication record.
Teach and supervise students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Contribute to departmental leadership, curriculum development, and engagement with industry partners.
